Male Body Build
Males tend to be bulkier than females, but tend to be smaller.

Females
Thin and elegant bodies. They tend to be taller/bigger than the males. Full grown females can be more dominate then males and often lead herds.

Foals/Fawns
They have no gender. They grown into a gender depending on the herd's need. The body balances the gender ratio. If the genders are even, the fawn's gender leans towards the more dominate of the two. Which in most cases is female.

Old Koun
Older Koun tend to attract sprites or will-o-wisps in dense/old forests. The sprites float around the Koun's neck like a necklace and will disappear when they leave certain sections of the old forest. Old Kouns like their solitude and will be less likely to show itself to others so it's rare to see one with sprites. Human myths say that if you see a Koun with sprites, your death is soon to follow. Seeing a foal has the opposite effect. Seeing a young Koun is a sign of luck and prosperity.

Diet
A Koun's diet consists of mostly nutrients absorbed through the ground. They can eat with their mouths, but are less likely because it makes them vulnerable to predators. The reason for this is because their hair covers their line of vision. They use their mouths mostly for grooming purposes.

Kouns are omnivores by nature, but tend to eat from the ground.

Bone Rotting Disease
This bone rotting sickness comes from absorbing earth that has been polluted by unnatural causes(Mostly man caused). It can also occur when a Koun eats flesh from other animals who have been killed by unnatural causes. Getting the sickness is not immediate. It's similar to when you get bitten by a mosquito. Some carry the sickness and others don't. However, all Kouns get severely sick after eating from tainted ground.

Behavior
Generally(but not restricted) Kouns are secretive creatures. They like to be alone and only gather during mating season. Females tend to be more aggressive and dominate then males and will often lead herds.

Social
Grooming is a big part of socializing for Kouns. In herds, it's a way to strengthen bonds and helps to rid them of parasites and unwanted plants or moss that grows in their hair. Off season, they'll seek out another Koun in order to get a thorough cleaning.

Herds/Social Groups
Kouns are solitary creatures and will gather only for breeding purpose. During a certain month, they come together and form herds. Within the first week, females compete to gain dominance over the heard. Once a leader has been decided, males vie for her affection. They stay in these herds in order to provide protection for the children. Females are able to have up to two kids. The dominate female is more likely to have two, as she is likely more seasoned and bigger than the other females.
